I am a trauma-informed therapist and have been trained in CBT and DBT modalities. I work with children and young people which is an age group I love working with! I also work with adult clients, tapping into the creativity that I sometimes use with the kids that prove to be fun and effective for adults too. My passion area is working with, and helping clients manage their anxiety and intrusive thoughts. I have a big interest in Polyvagal Theory and am always intrigued about how trauma and anxiety can affect the body. I cannot see myself doing anything else but counselling. I love helping people with their mental wellbeing and encouraging them to find the strength within themselves to flourish and come out on top.

I approach counselling from a collaborative, person-centred and trauma-informed approach. I work across a number of modalities including ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) and Narrative Therapy. The therapy I use is very much guided by what will best work for you at this moment in your life. I work across issues such as anxiety, grief, relationships, divorce, identity and parenting. We explore what is going on within, and also around you and how you can make sense of it. The counselling process allows us to identify thoughts, behaviours and beliefs that may be holding you back and find the strengths and resources you need to lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
