Boonah Creative Arts Studio
Boonah is CatholicCare’s own art studio located in West Pymble Shopping Centre.
This service can be accessed for multiple purposes, such as skills development, recreations and potentially as part of a transition to work program.
The studio runs on weekdays with two three hour sessions slots every day – from 9.00am to 12.00pm and from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
The studio provides a supported environment for the development of the artistic expression through different painting mediums and other types of art. The works of the gallery are regularly influenced by main stream artists such as Ken Done, allowing participants/artists to experience the mainstream art world.
Twice a year, the studio transforms into a gallery allowing for the exhibition of works of art directly to the public. Artworks are also exhibited in other mainstream locations such as Gallery Red in Glebe and The Kings School in Parramatta. Supported artists receive the profit of the sale if their artworks sell directly from the public.
Services at Boonah can be purchased through your NDIS plan under a number of line items, as part of any program. Get in touch with us to discuss.
