Tarooki Art Space
Tarooki is an art space on the Northern Beaches for adults living with disability. Our aim is to provide a fun and friendly space, encouraging artists with disability to explore and develop their creativity.
It’s a place to learn new skills and experiment with different techniques like painting, drawing, collage and anything that inspires good fun. Making art can be very uplifting and helps to build confidence by encouraging the artist to make independent choices about their projects.
The groups are small and the calm environment allows the group to build their art skills together.
The classes are run on Friday’s between 9.30am and 3.00pm and are led by our experienced and highly trained facilitator, Dinah van Kool. Dinah has been in the arts for most of her career, starting out as a silversmith and jeweller, then transitioning into graphic design. For the last 12 years, she has been an essential part of CatholicCare’s Boonah Creative Arts Centre in West Pymble.
The cost is $5 per attendance. Flyer here.
