Become a Foster Carer
Australia needs more foster carers – particularly in the Northern Sydney and Central Coast areas.
There are a range of social factors that place families under pressure and result in children needing care. Foster care is about providing a safe and nurturing home to a child or young person who is unable to live with their own family. Foster carers are people who open their homes and hearts to children and young people in need, and partner with us to support them during their time in care.
There are children in our community who, without our help will go through childhood without the love and support of a family. These children have the same needs as all children – love, care, safety and consistency. Somewhere to belong.
Foster carers help children in need by providing them with a safe home to live in, supporting them to build healthy connections with their family and community of origin, helping them with their health, education and independence and promoting a strong sense of personal identity and self-esteem.
